Training

Lara had wanted to be a ballerina as a child, and so, was indulged by her father; she also went into gymnastics. Lara was a natural and skilled enough that not only could she have competed in the Olympics, but she would have won, though her father would never let her compete in “such Neanderthal activities.”

Compton trained Lara to shoot, unknown to her parents. Compton was in charge of security for the family and had even saved them from a terrorist attack in Ireland when Lara was a young child. He believed it was a must that she was able to defend herself.
