Tomb Raiding Beginnings

Lara started her tomb raiding only as a hobby at first. Despite her losses, Lara was able to fall in love again, when she met a fell raider, Chase Carver. While Lara was into tomb raiding for the adventure, for the discovery, Chase was in it for the money.

Chase lived hard and fast, without much thought or caution, and Lara was completely smitten with him. Perhaps she attached herself to him too closely and was too blinded because of what had befallen Roger, but Lara never saw Chase as Compton did, never saw the potential for his betrayal.
